Forglen Hall
Aberdeenshire

In 1924 the hall was built by members of the community in Forglen. The centre piece of the Hall is a stained-glass window depicting Jacob’s Dream designed by Clayton and Bell, world famous manufacturers of religious stained glass windows, that the community were gifted.
Take a quiet moment to view the window in all its glory, colours shining vibrantly subsequent to its careful restoration in 2019 by Linda Cannon, art conservator from Glasgow. There will be an opportunity to sit and watch a short video detailing the story of the stained glass window and its restoration.
Take a wander within the grounds of the Hall to view the War Memorial and inside there is a Role of Honour and a plaque to Piper Findlater VC, who was awarded the Victoria Cross in 1898.
Refreshments and activities for children will be available.
