University of Edinburgh: Talbot Rice Gallery

Situated in Old College above the Law Library, Talbot Rice Gallery combines a 19th century former natural history museum and a contemporary white cube to fuel its contemporary art exhibition programme.
As the University of Edinburgh’s contemporary art gallery, Talbot Rice Gallery is dedicated to exploring how the University can contribute to contemporary art production today and into the future, raising the volume on key political and social issues through research and creative practice.
Playfair Library TRG booth:
Information booth providing visitors with context on the history of the building and the current exhibitions. Visitors will be provided with information pamphlet and and exhibition guide. We will provide a TV behind the booth with an image slideshow of the gallery and provide merchandise at the booth.
Exhibitions:
Visitors who would like to see the gallery spaces will be able to experience the current exhibitions –
- Jesse Jones The Tower,
- Lawrence Abu Hamdan 45th Parallel,
- Hephzibah Israel the nature of difference.
Entry will be through Talbot Rice Gallery’s entrance on West College Street. There will be limited access into the gallery via the Playfair Library.
