Paisley - Paisley Methodist Church
Renfrewshire

Paisley Methodist Central Hall is an imposing Edwardian building in the Free Renaissance style designed by architects Watson and Salmond and constructed in 1908. Around 100 Central Halls were built in major towns and cities across Britain between 1886 and 1945. Paisley Central Hall is the only one in Scotland still in use as a Church.
Visitors are welcome to tour the building at their own pace.
In addition to the self-guided tour our Heritage room will be open to give visitors a fuller explanation of what a Central Hall is and the history of the last Central Hall in Scotland still open as a Church. Our friends Paisley Photographic Society will have an exhibition in the Lesser Hall. The West of Scotland 4mm Model Railway Group will have an exhibition in our upstairs lounge. Jac Rundell of Rundell Art whose studio is in Central Hall will be running some children's art activities. Tea and Coffee will be available.
