Renfrew - Inchinnan Bascule Bridge
Renfrewshire
In Person

The bridge was opened in 1923 a fine example of the Sherzer rolling lift type of Bascule Bridge and one of two still operating in Scotland. Designed by William B Hall and engineered by William Arrol Company LTD.
The Grade A listed bridge has been extensively refurbished and strengthened. Its protective paint system of vibrant colours and the architectural lighting installation dramatically enhance this unusual structure.
This year the Bridge will lift at 11am, 1pm.
Temporary accommodation will house an exhibition about the bridge and provide a video.
