This year St Fillan’s Church is celebrating its 900th anniversary. Dating from 1123 it is probably the oldest active church in Scotland.
St Fillan’s Church is one of the finest examples of simple Norman architecture in Scotland and has been referred to as ’The Mini Cathedral’. It is admired for its simple beauty and serenity.
There will be information available about the history of the church and guided tours take place throughout the day.
Various church artifacts such as the Captain Morgan’s 'Pirate' cup will be on display.
Parking is available close by at the station car park.
